I got a lot of stuff from They're very helpful and I believe they rent guns and nose pieces. A gun will be around $3000 and nose pieces between $300 and $500 new. To do 3/8 and 5/16 you can use the same gun. Also did some work on a trailer and used 3/8 stainless carriage bolts instead of riveting it back together but it may depend what you are doing if that would be a good option It's handy to have around I ended up using it for a couple other projects but is expensive to have sitting around. It will take a different nose for 3/8 and 5/16 and a bigger gun than what I got.
HUCK RIVET GUN PLUS
I spent 1400 on the gun new plus 200/nose and it will only do up to 1/4 inch, found it on eBay from a seller that has the name ReliableAirTools. I rebuilt a wrecked truck this winter and ended up buying a huck gun.

Handy to have laying around, but it is investment This was over 5yrs ago as we have bought guns since. Wilson trailer did rent them, they may still. don't blame them though, like post above says there kinda spendy Slugbait, would they rent it to a guy from iowa? anybody that has one around here are kinda possessive of it. Our local hardware shop sells the huck rivets and rents the tool to install.

I saw one once on Ebay for about $145.didn't move quite fast enough or I woulda bought it. I know nothing about them so where would be a good place to order one and how much should I expect to spend? Or would I be better off taking it to a shop and having it done? I have a brace that I have to replace on my hopper bottom and I am looking for a huck rivet gun.
